100 Series is a Between the Glass Venetian Blind
The Kyler 100 series blind system features a sealed double glazed glass unit with an integral venetian blind. The major design objectives of the Kyler 100 series blind system are:
Aesthetics – Clean sleek appearance that maximizes visible glass.
Operation – Consistent ease of operation
Flexibility – Tilt only operation along with versatile tilt control placement.
Adaptability - The Kyler 100 series blinds interface with most conventional standard glazing systems.
Typical applications include:
- Interior Hollow Metal Frames
- Interior Wood and Steel Doors
- Interior Commercial Aluminum Framing
The Kyler 100 series blind system requires slightly more field labor to install than our other blind systems. Also, coordination relative to proper sizing and fit as it relates to a particular glazing system is of paramount importance.

Operation
The Kyler 100 series blind offers multiple tilt control options for the internal blind. These standard options include:
- Knob style operators in both straight and angled configurations
- ADA style knob operators
- Tamper Proof Operators
All operator types are available in Single tilt control (tilt operation from one side) or Dual tilt control (tilt operation from both sides).
Other unique features to the Kyler 100 series blinds:
Versatile tilt control placement
Regardless of single tilt control operation or dual tilt control operation, the 100 series blind allows the tilt control operators to be positioned at virtually any specified location on the vertical portion of the perimeter glazing frame.
180 degree range of motion with integrated tilt limiter
Each 100 series blind allows the venetian blind slats to rotate 180 degrees. Also incorporated into the 100 series blind is an integrated tilt limiter which prevents the over rotation of the venetian blind.
Components
All 100 Series blind systems feature the following:
- A typical air space of .813” (13/16")
- The standard perimeter air spacer is clear anodized aluminum.
- All internal aluminum blind components are color matched.
- All internal plastic components are comprised of high temperature, UV stable material.
- All tape ladders are thermally fixed polyester and UV resistant.
Blind Colors Options:
- All 100 Series venetian blind componants are color matched. The head rail, bottom rail, and blind slats all match the blind color selected.
- 100 Series venetian blinds are available in 5 color options:
0102 WHITE
0149 ALMOND
0069 TAN
0157 SILVER
Size Limitations
100 Series units can be fabricated to the following minimum/maximum sizes:
- Minimum 100 series blind unit thickness: Blind units up to approximately 18 square feet are available in 1 inch thick units (2 pieces of 1/8 inch tempered glass with a ¾ inch air spacer).
- Standard 100 series blind unit thickness: 1 1/8 inches thick (2 pieces of 3/16 inch tempered glass with a ¾ inch air spacer).
Note: under certain circumstances, Kyler will make exceptions to the above stated size limitations. Contact Kyler to confirm availability.
Minimum width - tilt only style operation: 9 1/8 inches
Maximum width - tilt only style operation: 63 inches
Minimum height - tilt only operation: 11 inches
Maximum height - tilt only operation: 104 inches
Glass Options
100 Series units come standard with fully tempered inboard and outboard glass. Standard glass thickness is 3/16". Custom glass thicknesses can range from 1/8" to 7/16" thick.
The standard internal airspace is 13/16" thick.

- Obscure tempered glass
- Clear tempered glass
- Laminated glass
- Polycarbonate
